I'm ran myself down a rabbit hole, and have come up more confused than when I started.
I am missing my washer tank, and my switch doesn't push in. I have my nozzles in my cowl.
Is there an electric kit that works and fits where the original was? And what about the switch? Using two switches, one to wipe and one to wash sounds crazy and dangerous at 55mph.
Or should I try to rebuild the existing pneumatic system? If so, where can I find a new or used tank, lines, etc?
Thanks! |

I fab'd up my own using original bottle. Drilled and tapped bottom for brass threaded barb.Hose loops backs up to generic $10 pump .
Time to reconsider the coles hearsee switch. Built in washer control, intermittent function. Plus push and wipe. When you spray wiper fluid the wipers automatically swipe 3 times. I have been using it for years, would never think about stock set up again. Except for a show car that actually never see's the road.

I got the 12v kit - and it fit in perfectly. (I was missing my tank). But the switch is troublesome.
Are you driving a late model? I vetoed that Cole Hersey switch due to it not looking like a '62 knob. I would LOVE having the intermittence. I was thinking of cutting my switch up and adding the momentary like Doris did in this thread:

What did you do? |

It's a wrap!
Received the repro washer tank and pump, and got it installed. It works great! It's really wonderful to have washers as I live in Oregon.
The casting was rough on the inside under the cap, so I bore it out with files so I could get a funnel for filling easily in the opening. The hose they provided with the kit was clear fish tank kinda tubing, collapsed and bent forever. Came with a switch that kinda looked stock, with a black knob - but a separate momentary switch for the washer? No thank you. No leaks - and it mounted up easily in the stock soft mounts.
I purchased windshield washer hose from Mid America Motor Works - and dammit if they didn't send (3) 1 meter pieces when I thought I would receive (1) 9' piece. <sigh> Luckily I had a tube splice in my box of doodads.
The big part was the wiper wash switch conversion to electric. Doris did a really amazing job, and I copied her ideas, except with the older ghia switch.

Here's some pics:
The original switch:
The revised switch with the electric momentary switch installed.
Here's a continuity test. I wired it with the ground.
The finished dealio:
