Has anyone used this rear luggage tray from CIP1?

Are there any differences between the many years of these in Beetles?

I bet it's a re-production, Dansk panel by the color of it. I'd pass. There's still places selling VW of Mexico luggage trays that I've seen regularly.

Honestly, you be better off finding a VW junk yard in the SW USA and having them cut the rust free tray out of a donor bug then fitting this new panel. It usually only the bottom of the tray and sometimes up to the side of the quarters of this panel that rusts out. You may even look around the classifieds on this site for that panel from a donor bug.

I used one from WW on my convertible but I have no idea if it is the same one they are selling now. There are some differences from original, but since it goes under carpet I didn't worry about it.

If originality matters, you'll want to get a donor from a wreck.
