Searched many pics on Westfalia stoves and all images show the stove with a blank hole (far left in photo) - what is its purpose? I assume it was for a spark ignitor but cant find any info on how that would work to ignite the burners, which are a distance away.
I'm thinking of using the hole for a 12v power port (cig lighter type) but was wondering if anyone can confirm that the size would fit - as in, has anyone done the same?

Thanks!

Cant answer your question. I have the same hole in Seamus. We did find two different uses for that spot on Ryans two busses however.

One is a standard 12vdc cigarette lighter adapter power port and the other is an aftermarket piezo lighter. So at least either one of them would fit there.

Awesome - thanks. Looks like a 12v port will fit there then. Still a mystery though on the official usage.

PO installed 12 V cigarette lighter socket, works well for charging phone while sleeping or for charging other devises.
Think it’s just a standard socket available at any FLAPS.

Somewhere around here there is a thread where a person installed a battery-powered lighter. But I don't recall for sure if they used that hole or not.

That's someplace on my "someday" list.
