Hi Volks,

I got a compression and leakdown test done, here are my numbers:

cyl 1 160 and 15%
cyl 2 160 and 28%
cyl 3 160 and 10%
cyl 4 170 and 10%

I'm not worried, what do you think.

Not certain if it was a hot or cold test

Gregor

Compression looks good and within the allowed margin. Leak down is a little high for cylinder 2. I would continue to run it, but maybe next time, do the leak down test first on a hot engine. Start with cylinder 2. The rings may have washed down from fuel affecting the numbers you were getting.

if it is fuel wash, look for a leaky injector.

I would not worry until I see a repeat fail, test again, see how the tests compare, you dont know now repeatable these results are yet. lets see a second test

Getting new injectors, so it will be a good test.

Thanks.

The compression numbers don't mean anything unless GoWesty told you what range is acceptable. That is a non stock engine. The Leak down is not too good... or bad. Where is the leakage coming from?
