Soooo…. the shipping line has delayed delivery to Antwerp again (this is not unusual). When I arranged shipping expected delivery was Nov 30, now it is Dec 17. This is just too close to the holidays and Mrs needs me here then since I cook for the family.
I am not willing to ship over the winter due to crappy weather here and there and I do NOT want salted roads.
Targeting April 2024. Sigh.
Actually this does not affect travel in 2024 but dang it I want the euroBus over in Europe! _________________ Dave O

Just think of all the extra thing you get to do to (for?) it over the winter _________________ 83.5 Westy with Subaru 2.5, 4 spd manual, center seat, COLD A/C on 134a!, Winter camp heated with an Espar B4 gasoline furnace

Worth checking, AFAIK you cannot have a foreign registered vehicle in Netherlands for more than a specific period (I think 3 months?) before you must remove it or register it in NL. I would definitely NOT recommend running on fake plates or taking plates off - you may run the risk of having the car confiscated and crushed. Also your insurance will probably/may not be valid?
I've imported and registered a T3 in NL and got a NL plate and it is not hugely problematic - based near amsterdam right now and happy to help if I can?

Good info, but with 180 days in the Schengen Zone, who would spend 3 months in the. Netherlands? _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")

yes true, however if the vehicle is parked near amsterdam while Dobyran is out of the country then that 12 weeks maximum may quickly add up - just trying to help on what sounds like a great adventure idea. _________________ http://www.akciddento.com
