| Reaching out to the experts. I’m restoring a 69 ghia and want to get a red convertible top and only see maroon on Jbugs. Anyone know a place to get red? Thanks |

I once tried to find a red vinyl sunroof cover that would match my Ruby Red Beetle. The only place that had it was West Coast Classic Restoration in Fullerton, CA. I couldn't find a suitable red color in Stayfast canvas anywhere. Not sure exactly what shade of red you're looking for, or if you're going with vinyl or canvas, but you might give Lenny Copp a call at WCCR.

SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon has a wide array of top and upholstery material. They might have what you need but you'll still need to find a shop that can/will fabricate a top for you.

If your car has the older style top with the plastic rear window, I would recommend getting a top that has that window stitched in place instead of heat-seamed. The heat seam will fail in due time from being folded in half when the top is lowered and the window will separate from the top material. _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)
