While I was there playing with the fenders, I adjusted the A-pillar mudguards and welded the fixations that were missing:

The openings around the nostril were not satisfying so I took care of it:

Lots of cutting, adjusting, and of course adding the 3 tabs for the nostril fixation (a 60 only feature !):

Brilliant work! When it is finished you are going to know every part of that body inside and out.

It looks pretty good already, but with the mask off like that, you have a chance to get the inside of the nose really nice and smooth before it goes back on - it isn't as easy once it is welded in place!

I realised I missed this update! More great metalwork there. Working over the top of the original panel to get the shape of repair sections is a neat idea - is it difficult to shrink the section down afterwards or just a matter of trimming the edges?

Not really, difference is only the thickness of the sheet (1mm here) so almost no extra work after Wink
