Sold for $29k to a guy back east who’s been looking for three years for the right car and mine fit the bill.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments on BaT and here about the car. You’re opinions mean more to me than any others, so it’s much appreciated. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

So, just curious, might this be the monetary result if I put our car up for sale? _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

I think it should have easily gone into the 30's. Having the restoration thread left no doubt that the car was solid with a good body and was mechanically in great shape. The little things that were mentioned can easily be taken care of if the new owner cares. I think the new owner got a great buy and if it was mine, I would be insuring it for at least $35K to $40K. _________________ Marc

Prices certainly are lower than they were a few years ago. _________________ Marc

I think if it were two years ago you’d be dead on, but Ghia values are down 20% according to Hagerty.
So anyone seen JAL’s ‘67 yet? Another super nice car which being earlier should fetch more money than mine. I like how he preempted the concour crowd with his review. I think I will employ that strategy on my next sale since photos apparent, don’t suffice with some people. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Congrats Braukuche!
JAL78, How did I miss you have a near twin
It should do well on BAT.
Trylon, the 914 might do okay _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”

You never know how these cars will do these days. Unfortunately I have to sell mine in order to fund converting my 58 Lowlight convertible back to “stock” appearance. _________________ 1956 Beetle Oval Rag top with Judson SC

Pretty serious opening bid ! |
That’s Ronsr the junkyard king and VW collector. Lately he’s been bidding $15k on every Ghia that’s popped up but then usually stops. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Those wheels/tires don't flatter that car at all.
↓ Blackwalls on stock wheels w/hubcaps work much better IMHO.
