RJE Vanagon WBX oil drain plug insert this is a 2nd oversize (18x1.5 O.D.) X (14.1.5 I.D.) This is for when the timesert the black insert shown in picture 16 x 1.5 has been striped out or you want to fix the oversized hole in the bottom of the block and bring it back to use the stock drain plug. We saw a need for this oversized insert so we made a run of them. You will need skills to install them & a 21/32 drill, 18x1.5 tap, and tooling to do the job right. getting the drill & tap started straight (as pictured). The tool rental fee is $75, the deposit is $400 on the tooling. (refunded when I get the tooling back undamaged & clean). This insert is to make a very nice repair & to save the block. The tooling will work on a installed engine. The drill & tap should be greased to catch the chips. the area must be cleaned. Brake kleen works well. The pictures are on a engine that's in the 1st stages of the machine work that's needed. $30 ea. + $8 shipping and any fees transferring the deposit back and forth. USA.
