Awesome Powdercoat is proud to introduce our faithful reproduction of the VW factory venturi ring for doghouse fan shrouds. The rings are proudly made in Ohio, USA. Starting in 1975, VW added this ring to FI fan shrouds to increase the cooling air velocity. More cooling with no moving parts! The ring works in a very similar fashion to a velocity stack on a carburator.

I have been working with Andrig of AAT. He has done some amazing data collection, both for his new 3D printed fans, and my venturi ring. He has a serious setup, traceable back to ASTM standards, he has recorded air speed, pressure and cfm.
adding this venturi ring to an early VW internal oil cooler shroud will boost your cfm by 8% at all rpm
adding this venturi ring to a doghouse fan shroud will boost your cfm by 5% at all rpm
adding this venturi ring to a porsche 356 shroud will boost your cfm by 5% at all rpm

You've spent big bucks & lots of time building a custom engine, now get the maximum possible cooling you deserve!
Rings are 20 gauge stainless steel, with mounting tabs in the factory locations. Spot welded mounting tabs have 1/8" holes for welding or pop rivets.
You can get the rings 3 different ways, depending on your needs:
1 - $50, just the ring, powdercoated satin black, with installation instructions. Add $10 for shipping anywhere in the continential USA.
2 - I'll install the ring on your used fan shroud, then powdercoat it what ever color you want. + shipping.
3 - I'll install the ring on a new SCAT fan shroud and powdercoat it whatever color you want + shipping.
