Porsche Magazine first year issues -not copies Price: $40 +S/H
|
Due to the Hurricane Harvey flood waters, I did manage to find floating in a water filled plastic storage container, these four issues , these four issued in the first year this magazine was printed. I doubt there are many of the original ones, for sale, as this has to be collectibles items to own. Porsche Magazine only used this name for one year, as I recall, as the Porsche Factory in Germany never gave them the rights to use the trademark name of "Porsche" as the main words on the cover. About one year later, the magazine became known as Excellence- A Magazine about Porsche Cars. So, the law suit ended with the name change of the magazine.
Now, I dried these in my bedroom for two weeks, once the flood waters went down. The magazine was published , each issue, represented two months. Sorry, I cannot find the missing number four issue or number six, to complete the first year collection. But, after four rolls of paper towels, night and day of drying with my bedroom in sunlight and with the dehumidifier going night and day, the results are that the paper and covers are only slightly wrinkled , due to the water. But, the good news is there are no missing pages, no otherwise damage to the pages and easy to read. The articles are worth more than my sales price. Maybe, you can find copies or reproductions, but these are the real deal. First time my home has been flooded, ever and in this area, not in the past 100 years, so now placing any collectibles up high, as reconstruction is underway.
I have no insurance coverage for flooding and have estimated the damage to my home and garage/shop to be at least $20,000. This $40 plus shipping , using Book Rates with USPS and insurance and tracking, hardly will pay for much of the massive damage. If you pay using Paypal, please add 4% to the total, which I need to give you. I do ship overseas, with proper freight charges.
Thank you for looking at my other samba ads. Also will post several Porsche toy models, all which were stored above the storm waters. I still have many, which I am sure, are no longer available.
