Genuine German Volkswagen. NewOldStock NOS. One (1) Part Number 113 827 503, Lock-Rear Hood/Engine Compartment Lid-chromium plated AND One (1) Part Number 113 827 507 A Engine Compartment lock handle. Applicable for Type 1 Beetle from Chassis Number 115 000 001 up to Chassis Number 116 1021 300 (August 1964 Model Year 1965 through July 1966 Model Year 1966) two years applicability. Also applicable for Type 2 Bus from Chassis Number 216 000 001 to 216 190 000 Model year 1966. The chrome part is the push in piece of unit! Non Locking. The chrome lift handle is a separate part number (113 827 507 A number 80 Illustrated Parts List) and not normally or ususlly an integral part of the lock! It appears that VW considered the locking device to need replacing more often than the chrome handle-therefore rarely are they together! However they did make some Spare Parts with the chrome handle included. To obtain a keyed/lockable lock one had to specify Special Options Code M 94 (Handle for rear lid lockable). Most vehicles originally came without the lockable version!! Number 75 (20 for Bus) Illustrated Parts List refers. Lock and Handle only no Screws, no packing! Ensure Application. $46MailedLower48.
