Here's a really nice automatic bay bus DVDA distributor. The distributor went through the full restoration process. It was fully disassembled with all parts being cleaned in an industrial parts cleaner. Post cleaning, all parts were inspected and measured. The body was media blasted to remove stains/oxidation. It leaves the finish looking new.
All the external steel parts were stripped of their remaining zinc coating. They were the re-bright zinc plated for years of corrosion resistance. The screws were also dipped in gold chromate solution for the like new appearance.
Post restoration, I installed new points, condenser and cap and rotor. I tested the distributor on my Sun distributor machine. It was right in spec. I also checked the correct DVDA vacuum canister and it was spot on as well.
