Porsche 356SC, 912 cylinder 1mm overbore Price: $70
|
This is a single spare 356SC or 912 cylinder, Biral, Mahle overbored and honed. Very nice condition, I see no damage. I bought it years ago believing it to be standard.
I don't have a bore gauge, but with some experience measuring bores with inside mike, I get 3.291, which is 83.59. I think that might be about right for a 1mm oversize, but make sure with your engine builder. Seems finish honed to rather fine finish. There is a bit of rust haze on the bore,
also, it appears to me that this cylinder MIGHT have never been used. At least both the case end and the head end seem perfect.
It is a very pretty cylinder. Fins, top and bottom gasket surfaces fine.
