Washburns’s Beetle Flush Mount Center Access Plate Price: 85

This flush mounted access plate kit is designed to allow access to the center of the tunnel where the factory bracket on the clutch tube becomes fatigued and typically brakes. When this occurs an access hole has to be cut to reinforce the clutch tube center location. Instead of patching the tunnel holes this access plate can be installed so future access is available. This kit includes the outer plate, inner frame, four counter sunk stainless screws and the plate dimensions are 5"x3.50".. This kit fits all years of beetle. May fit other Volkswagen chassis such as type 3, thing & ghia but has yet to be tested.
