Shifter Base Cover for Gene Berg® Shifters without locking base.
This Basket Weave vinyl cover slides over the exposed cast base of the Gene Berg® non-locking shifter to add a finished look to the unit. The recycled Basket Weave black vinyl came from the old seat covers on my 1971 Super Beetle and matches the side panels of the 1968-1979 Type 1 seat. No modification required: cover simply slips over the base and is snug to the lower rubber boot of the Gene Berg® shifter (10 second installation). Lower edge of cover rests on carpet.
Proudly made in the USA. I sewed one for my personal vehicle and made a few extras to sell to The Samba members.
