Selling one reproduction VDO old school analog electric fuel gauge kit for 1955 Pre A Porsche 356. The fuel gauge kit works on 6 Volt and 12 Volt Porsches interchangeably. The fuel gauge is made entirely from authentic, German made VDO components. The fuel gauge has a 52mm diameter housing. In 12 Volt Porshes, a provided in-line voltage-dropping resistor is used to connect the fuel gauge to the vehicles fuse box. Interchangeable 6 Volt and 12 Volt instrument light bulbs are included for installation into the included dial lighting socket. The gauge comes complete with wiring diagram and wiring harness.
Note: (Just so you know, because someone asked me once): This gauge kit is a 6 Volt old school analog gauge kit (Not "Plug-N-Play"). It requires installation by a professional mechanic in accordance with the wiring diagram that’s supplied with the kit. I should not have to explain what would happen if you were to plug all the wires in at random and just play around with an electric fuel instrumentation system until it “works”, so I’m not going to, but because someone asked a question indicating that they don’t have the slightest idea, I reserve the right to refuse to transact business with anyone who asks questions or makes statements indicating that they don’t understand or appreciate the importance of having a device which comes into contact with flammable gasoline be installed by an experienced professional.
Shipping: Subtract $10.00 for the cost of a Priority envelope to mail your check to me, and add $18.40 for shipping in the USA. If you are in Canada, tell me how much a tracked envelope would cost, and I'll ask my bank how much they would charge for the currency conversion. If it's not too much, I may or may not cover it myself. I also take bank transfers. Shipping to Canada is $40.00 via Priority mail. No Paypal or any other online payments. This is permanent. I will not be going back to taking PayPal payments at any point in the near or distant future.
