This Westy was converted to a Subaru motor at 90,000 miles. The Subaru V-6 is from an SVX carrying 40,000 miles when installed. The SVX engine is 3.3 L, 230 hp (vs. stock 90 hp of a standard Westfalia motor). Power to cover any mountain pass.
The conversion was done by Subagon out of Redding, CA, purchased by the original owner in 2010.
The second owner did much to adjust for safety. As the third owner of this amazingly reliable and fun to drive Westfalia, I added a few safety features and some to quiet the ride.
This great VW Westfalia is not in pristine condition, but it is in great condition.
