For sale is my extremely rare VW Promotional Transporter Carousel,
An opportunity to own one of the rarest Volkswagen Promotional items ever made!
As featured in the Volksworld Magazine and also featured in a published book!
This Carousel , Dating back to the early 1960's (possibly 1962) this almost perfect Carousel which is still working, comes with it's original 'shipping' case, it is available to own for the first time since the mid 90's
The Carousel was Issued to a limited number of European VW dealers in 1962, for display in the showroom representing the variation of type 2 vans available at the time it has a colour swatch showing the interior fabric colour variations available at the time.
This is a real piece of history!
Being made of plastic the dealer that received this carousel decided that it was to fragile to use in the showroom and chose to place it back in it's shipping box, it went into storage where it remained for around 36 years before seeing the light of day again, it has remained in it's box for the last 20 years, which is the reason why it has survived in it's amazing original condition.
All of the vans are original Wiking 1;40 scale
Possibly the most original VW Carousel in existence.
I am aware of only 3 survivors that are still in existence, of which 1 is damaged with no models on the carousel, 1 has the wrong period models on it.
Then this one which is 'mind blowing' it is probably a museum piece, such is the quality!
