The Stratosilver body and paint are as nice as can be, first rate, and the fit and finish is incredible. Those of you who are familiar with Buddy Hale's reputation, this is what he is world famous for. The attention continues into the wheel wells, the suspension, and the underside of the car is just as beautifully attended-to as the rest of the car. Nothing is ignored, no short cuts, just going all the way and building the highest quality car possible. Winning first place in class at the 2023 Grand National Roadster show punctuates just how nice this 1955 is.
The interior is excellent, spotless, and is the handy work of the legendary Dave Lumetta, who has recently retired after being one of the top names in Vintage Volkswagen interiors for decades. Details to note include the custom pedals, dual sunvisors, accessory rear seat bolster cushions, Gene Berg shifter, German squareweave carpeting, mohair headliner, accessory blumenvase, and more.
Mechanically this Oval is excellent, turnkey, loads of power, great braking with the 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes, and handles nicely with the low stance, too. VW Paradise built the 2332cc dual Weber engine and it was recently tuned by Frenchy.
