1959 Lowlight Karmann Ghia Price: $5000
1959 lowlight Karmann Ghia
Needs restoration.
I have had this car in dry storage for 10 years.
Forward rockers and floor pan need to be welded. The rest of the car is basic body and paint.
I have all the windows, and a front and rear bumper.
There is a 36 horse power engine in the car but it will need to be rebuilt.
1959 and earlier " lowlight" ghias have a very different look with the head lights and tail lights being 2 inches lower on the body than the 1960 and later giving them a much more bulbous style and vintage look. Also adding to the look is the tiny nose vent holes.
Once pointed out , you will never look at the later ghias the same way. ( at least I never did.) I guess that's why the low light ghis sell for almost twice as much as the non lowlights.
