1958 Karmann Ghia Low Light Coupe Rolling Project Price: $3558

This 1958 Coupe project has been off the road since 1993 and lived in Santa Cruz, California. The body has no accidents and it has rust in the floor pans, front left heater channel and localized spots in the rear fenders behind the wheels down low. The body, doors, lids, window openings, headlight buckets, snorkel ducting are solid with surface rust, but no holes. Speaking of holes, there is a hole cut in the front bulkhead just behind the the glove box about the size of a JBL 6x9 speaker (unfortunate) and the rear apron behind the motor has been cut out for a Corvair motor. Orignal 36HP and Corvair motor are gone along with the interior and glass. This is a good start to a low light project, it is solid where you rarely see them solid. It was originally Cardinal Red, and the front compartment and interior is still original paint, the rest of it received 3 trips to Earl Schieb for light blue, dark blue and yellow paint schemes along the way. The body and pan have the same VIN 1819745 and I have a clean, signed, un-dated California pink slip from the 2nd owner who bought it in 1986. Happy to email detailed hi-res photos of certain areas and pass this worthy machine to someone more energetic than I.
