This engine has already been hot tested / tuned and ready to ship Worldwide. It's "dressed" as a 1954 model with all the correct sheet metal and ancillaries. Un-numbered magnesium block, surface prep.- chem. treated to factory appearance - .010" line-bored main brng. tunnel - cylinder decks re-surfaced - all oil galley plugs removed for proper cleaning - tapped for flush plugs. Crankshaft 64mm - magnafluxed - reground 10/10 - polished & balanced. Flywheel 180mm 6V - resurfaced & balanced. New German gland nut / washer. Connecting rods re-sized - re-bushed & balanced. New main & rod bearings. Normal spec. camshaft - reground & coated. Cam followers resurfaced - push rods disassembled – cleaned. JE forged 80mm pistons w/rings – 20mm pins. Shasta 80mm Dura-Bar cylinders. Cylinder heads - glass bead - new guides - new valves - new springs - 3 angle valve job – resurfaced. Oil pump – "A" type, cleaned, re-surfaced cover & pump housing. Rocker arm assemblies - hot acid washed - Black Oxide treated - new adjusting screws. Non-vented valve covers – clips, powder coated low gloss black. Solex 32PBJ carburetors - cleaned - re-surfaced - new throttle shafts - carbs kits - jetted for typ 506 / 1300cc - clear cadmium plated hardware. Intake manifolds - cleaned - surface prep. Knecht "mushroom" air cleaners - stripped - cleaned. (3) fuel lines - new 8mm tubing - original "T" fitting – 90lbs pressure test - surface prep. w/clear cadmium plating. MANN fuel filter - new filter element - new cork gasket - surface prep. – (4) new 14mm compression nuts & ferrules, clear cadmium plated bowl. Fuel pump - 8mm – rebuilt / restored - re-surfaced - new German EFFEB diaphragm - new fuel pump poly carbonate block w/rod - clear cadmium plated hardware. BOSCH 383 distributor - restored / rebuilt - new cap - rotor - points - ID plate – low gloss black paint - Black Oxide clips & hardware - new 7mm "cotton" wrapped wires - BERU early spark plug connectors - (3) new rubber fan housing grommets. BOSCH coil - TK6A3 - 6V – low gloss paint - 5mm ID / 9mm OD nuts – correct clamp, clear cadmium plated. FRAM oil filter - new paint - decals - element - lid gasket. (2) oil lines - new steel braid German Cohline hose - crimp ferrules - 6mm tubing. (3) fittings - original early "smooth" style with new compression ferrules & nuts. Generator - 6V - restored / rebuilt - low gloss "vented / louvered" band strap - 105mm pulley w/36mm Black Oxide nut - clear cadmium plated housing. Oil filler tube w/new rubber "O" ring - Black Oxide spring clip. Linkage - spring - frnt / rr bell cranks - levers - surface prep. - clear cadmium plating. Oil pressure switch - NOS German w/14mm hex post w/2mm orifice & (2) copper crush washers. Oil cooler - new aluminum - pressure test to 120lbs. Crank OT pulley – original iron - 1300cc type - Black Oxide treated. (2) heater "J" tubes - new pipes - black ceramic coated - copper nuts, Muffler - new – single tip - black ceramic coated – clamps – copper nuts w/new chrome tips. SACHS 180mm clutch disc / pressure plate. New perimeter engine seal channel & rubber. New BOSCH "Made in Germany" spark plugs. New 13mm fan belt.
All engine sheet metal has been hot tanked and walnut blasted. All engine items have been pre-assembled on engine for proper fit prior for application of finishes including: chem. treatment for eng. block, low gloss black powder coating for sheet metal, ceramic coatings for exhasut system. All steel hardware has been hot acid washed for proper surface treatments such as: Black Oxide and clear cadmium plating as required. Original German hardware used throughout build including KAMAX bolts.
