Thank You for the nice comments it is a pleasure to build nice and detailed motors. I had started the engine a few days ago for about an hour and than I re adjusted the valves. The engine sounded really good and idled like a sewing machine.

Post bd "55" Wolfburg 23 windows are in a league of their own..So underrated!
The idea of putting these last hand built beauties from the historical Wolfburg plant back on the road is incredible to me!. So many one year only parts that are almost impossible to locate. These busses are truly historical vehicles!!.. You guys are doing the VW community a huge favor by building such a rare Jem!
Have a couple of buddies here in Cali restoring 55 23 windows. Including my own.We are looking forward to seeing your progress! Great Job guys !!!!! |

Wow ! !
One day my 55 23w will be just as nice !
Yes on the vent chrome trim question. 55 was the first year to have 9 rows of vents verses 8 from Barndoor. |

Not really. Having the transmission gone over just to be safe. The previous
owner had it rebuilt but we want to be sure everything is in order before
installing it. Also Doug had to send the headliner material back as we were
not happy with the color. Just dealing with minor issues so everything will
go together smoothly. Should have some progress pics and an update posted
soon. |
