It is a reference to an obscure cartoon "Futurama"

One of Futurama's best moments. Keep up the great work on the Vokaro, Snu Snu! It looks incredible. |

Ok so the white on the underside of hood is fixed and is clear coated. It is what it is at this point and I still don't understand why I just had to sand out those imperfections ...... but I did.
The black tail in is sanded and about ready. Once the other paints set up where I can tape over.... I will re coat the tail and prep up and clear coat it (the entire outside).
Still did not get to the wing. At one point some months ago I had it prepped a was about to go.... but discovered I was out of bulldog and stopped. I know I have the supplies now though. _________________

Paint is finally done and the clear went on this morn.
Once this sets up I can get it on the car and finish the details. _________________

Looking awesome! The rear changes, though small definitely make that end if the car look much more finished!
I am very curious to see how the cooling system performs on the highway. _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |

Looks amazing! Also interested in airflow characteristics, especially around the engine cover/scoops and rear perforated section. Planning any yarn tuft tests going down the road?

And there are other hobbies a few of y'all know about.
I am old and don't drive (race) anymore..... and had given up on all the racing stuff. But something happened a couple years ago.
Do not go on the Race Junk for sale web page if you are a recovering race addict.
So .... Dirt dragging.

I have been out driving the back roads today.
Lots of tuning to go yet, but it runs and drives.

I would not call rear changes small.....
The air flow seems ok so far.
No ribbon testing and have not set up the go pro.
It is supposed to ground effect air up off the end of floor into the engine bay.
The scoops on top are not direct cooling by design.
Actually supposed to let air out to vent the header heat. Seems to work going by the amount of hot air blowing out of them and into the back of my head.
I spent a day and a half back roading, sub 60.
As a side note it likes to go down the twisty back roads with a posted limit at 30.…... but at 60 without knowing/feeling it.
The fans do run a lot at the lower mph and I can not hear it they are running above 45-50.
No overheating, full time at thermostat temperature.
After getting more comfortable with it I did a short highway ride. Did about 20 miles away and the 20 back at 75mph..... and the fans seemed to shut off and the temperature went down about 5 degrees.
So I am supposed to have positive pressure in the engine bay..... and it seems to be true.
And supposed to have negative pressure behind..... and it seems to be true.
I am not well versed in fluid dynamics in an open system.... I do quite a bit in closed (pipes, ducts, ect) _________________
