Drove 800 miles round trip, in one day, for my new to me 74 ghia. What have I done?
No door or door glass seals, at least 4 colors in its lifetime, no door cards and 15y/o tires. But... it does run.

Well you got the bumpers and rain gutters so that's a big item to clear. Nose may need some love and the torsion covers have been sealed up. Have fun with it. _________________ 1974 Ghia Coupe |

The nose, from the inside, seems much better than the outside. I know this car is full of mud, just not in a hurry to discover it. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

Wow, that cracked filler neck hose makes the cabin difficult to sit in when filling the tank. Just wow! _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

At 70mph the car is quieter in the cab with the windows down. Haha... _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

This was my 1st ghia, back in 1996, I believe. It was better innthis picture than real life. Real life was almost no engine bay (rusted away) and a big push in the right front fender.
The nose was perfect. I sold it to a buddy in the upper midwest that could not find a ghia without a bondo nose job. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

I've got headlights, taillights, hazards but not turn signals or hi/lo beams.
Would you suspect the signal switch or elsewhere in a 74?

Looks like a good start. At least you're driving it and having fun. |

I am going to try and mount early type 3 bumpers on the ghia. Just not into box bumpers. _________________ 64 No'back Speedster "Pearl"

It's a matter of taste and I confess that I never liked the Bug-lookalike bumpers on a Ghia. Your car, your choice. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly
