Does anyone know of a rattle can spray paint that comes close to LT1M Tuscan/Toscano Beige? |
You can get a spray can from paintscratch.com. Input 1984 VW Van and then add the spray paint to the cart. Sorry, I can't find a way to link to it.
For an off the shelf color, maybe Rust-Oleum Sand? Doesn't look quite yellow enough, but I'm just basing that off LT1M photos online. I have a can of this paint though and the cap color isn't too far off. |

Thanks for the reply erste. I'll check both of those tips out.

Looking to confirm paint code for an 1987 Westfalia - I dont have a sticker under the dash, and there is no "plate" under the driver seat.
Any other way to confirm paint code?
I have narrowed it down one of these two.
Savanna Beige Metallic (LH1V)
Flash Silver Metallic (LP7Y) |

Looks to me like LP7Y X9 [flash silver] But hard to tell, I've been fooled by a camera more than once. _________________ '87 Westy 'Flossie','86 Westy 'R1','86 tintop GL - Subi2.2 'J2','83.5 stock tintop L 'ZoomBus','74 Karmann Ghia, '63 Notch |

Damn I needed this 2 weeks ago.
Oh well...paint is on now. Looks pretty close to me but it's a gm color I think.
Had to go by color scan. Ehh...my thing is about 15 different shades of oxidized tan, small rust repair tan with the right code 5-6 years old and now this very similar gm tan in patches..
Somehow my searching here didn't find this thread.. |

If looking to repaint the fiberglass bumpers, does one need a flex agent or will a rattlecan from paintscratch.com hold up with proper prep and application? |

I have a 1980 transporter, no camper pop top and the color code on my PKN is J5J5 which appears to be Medium Blue, just see it isnt listed here. Has anyone else seen this before? |

It's been listed in the first post since 2012.

Yeah I see it's listed under the full color list but under the NA color post it only shows it as a camper option. That's why I was curious.
Thanks, |

Also any clue if there is a way to figure out the color code for the bumpers on these things? Appreciate any input. |

Just ordered a touch up pen from Paintscratch.com P90 Pastel white for my 1991GL. They kept trying to push a clearcoat? I'm no paint expert but only the metallic paints had a clearcoat right?

You think the colors for the 1980 would be the same as the later versions? |

The second post shows all the years. What are you asking?

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but…
I ordered a can of L90D for my ‘88 Westy from PaintScratch.com. The paint is darker and has a greenish tint, not even a close match.
The pic below shows the exterior paint, the paint underneath the dash which realistically has never been exposed to the elements, and the touch up spot I did with the PS paint. I think I could get a better match with off-the-shelf touch up paint for the FLAPS.
