Absolutely!! And it is showing great weather for 7 straight days here so i hope to be out after work each night. Of course my vacation is the week of 8/11 so expect a climate catastrophe that week!

Lovely Ghia, but these two pictures are a reminder of how vulnerable we are on the road today...a big Mercedes Bus and a tiny VW Bus...scale down for a Karmann Ghia.

Oh believe me i realize it! We are the 8th largest city in the state of New Jersey just shy of 100,000 residents. When i drive in the Ghia i am dwarfed by vehicles of all sizes. Landscape trucks, construction vehicles, etc around here. i like driving with the top down in it since i did not establish where to put side view mirrors i only have the rear view mirror to work with. I need eyes all around my head

Oversized vehicles are the norm. Giant extended pickup trucks and SUVs are a favorite choice and often have nothing to do with necessity. Gone are the 70s when every auto maker would concentrate on compact vehicles. Every time I park my Karmann Ghia in a parking lot near other modern vehicles, I'm always reminded of how exceptionally small these vintage vehicles are.
