Gettin pumped because the show is coming but bummed because it's usually the last show of the year. The 2013 season has gone by very fast.
Anyways... TransporterFest! WOO!!! _________________ '73 Transporter 1.7L Dual Carb

I too love this show! I say it has to be my favorite show to attend, It's in the best season of the year @ a nice place and always a good amount of really nice cars! As always Stan does an excellent job putting together a phenomenal show!! Yes it's a bummer it is usually the last show of the year BUT this is a really good show to end the show season!
Stan what's up your sleeve for this year? Trying to top of the barndoor surprise of last year?? |

Stan, any word on camping yet?
Sites at Winter Island can be hard to get in October, thus why we were "relegated" to the group site last year. While it obviously worked out to the benefit, we should lock it down so as to not lose it.
I know when I planned the rally for the Portal (the other camping group I was with last year) I had to call well in advance.
I'll likely be up there early on the 11th.
If you need, I can call up and let them know we're coming. I'd hope to expect a good turn out again? _________________ Mike

If all goes to plan, I may have a new commercial vehicle making its show debut at Transporterfest. Wish me luck! _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

Ill be getting into Salem early on the 11th, if anyone else cares to join!
Probably going to take an evening orlate ferry from Orient Point, drive an hour or so North, catch a nights rest somewhere along the way (Walmart anyone?) and finish the trip early morning so I have some time to explore Salem.
MIGHT come up altogether on the 10th... We'll see how busy work is... _________________ Mike

I'm planning to be there Sat. morning 10/12/13. Driving up to Salem last year on Friday evening was horrendous - typical Boston holiday weekend Friday pm traffic.
When are you planning to arrive at the campground obnoxiousblue? Maybe you could meet and greet anyone getting there before me?
I will be collecting the camping fee ($20) for Sat. night from everyone with our group in the Igloo camping area (sites #28 - #34, non-electric). Please bring cash. Let me know if you are camping with us Sat. night by Samba pm, voicemail or e-mail. My contact info is in my classified ad or website link below.
I did not reserve the Igloo area for Friday night. If you want to camp on Friday night you should contact the campground directly. The rate we got for Sat. is a special rate for our group. If you need electric there may be other sites available that are not in the Igloo area, but the campground staff indicated they were pretty booked up for that weekend.

Stan, my plan is to be there late on the 10th, or by latest mid day 11th. I want to have time to explore Salem. Though, I've been every year for the last several I always enjoy walking around especially during Haunted Happenings.
I'm doubtful that they will have the igloo sites booked for one evening, especially week nights. So it's my plan to roll in, set up and explore by foot or bike. If anyone is interested in coming up early with me, drop me a line and ill call ahead to Winter Island.
Stan, I'll happily greet any early arrivals. _________________ Mike
