Grub screw didnt set right, so once I lowered it popped out. All fixed now. DOH!
Before I drive it, I'm going to go back through everything and make sure its torqued to spec. again. Just to be on the safe side. _________________ 1967 Bug *Purists Beware* http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8190523#8190523 |

Cool, thanks. I'm working on a custom beam to build in som camber and didn't know if that was intentional or not. _________________ I have a German look bug, it was built in Germany and looks like it.

Good thing they made millions of these cars...
I fully expect a ration of $#!t for what I'm doing how I'm doing it and a bunch of reasons why it's wrong. Oh well.... _________________ I have a German look bug, it was built in Germany and looks like it.

Here my 1967. Recently bought it from my buddy. Yes it needs some work.
Currently has a 1641 CC, Pretty screwed up 6" narrowed front beam with 1"wheel spacers, fucked brakes
Yes purists this bug is slammed and incorrect but guess what??? IDGAF!!! MY CAR!!!! |
Nice attitude. I love seeing stock, correct, perfect VWs...... but not in my garage. I was looking for a 63 and ended up with a 63 body on a 64 pan with a 66 decklid, an unknown year hood and at least three different brand fenders so I have no problem modifying it to the way I want it.
Your bug is looking good. |

I think I scared away some purists with that line
I do appreciate their input, but don't tell me how my car should look or sit is all.
And I agree with you, "I love seeing stock, correct, perfect VWs...... but not in my garage. ".
I like having something thats personalized to my likings, not factory stock.
If I was given a stock perfect VW I probably wouldn't change it, but since I bought this heap I have no problem changing it. Also everything I am doing will allow it to go back to stock if someone wanted to. _________________ 1967 Bug *Purists Beware* http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8190523#8190523 |

You are better than me. I saw a stock restored oval for sale a while back, all I could do was envision some chrome BBTs, a 356 super 90 swap and lowered with a Cal-Look stance. _________________ I have a German look bug, it was built in Germany and looks like it.

Here's how she sits lately. Just replaced the alternator today. Haven't spent much time working on it. Had to neurosurgeries that consumed that last five months.
