Well Stormy got some new owners yesterday. It will now live in the Bay area.
I think it will be well loved by Brian and Malia who are great people and new to the Vanagon community. So if you run into them be sure to say hello!
Cheers, Ryan

They truly got a beautiful van!
Sorry you had to sell it Ryan, what that means is that now you have more experience for when you decide/can start to build a new one. _________________ 87 Syncro Westy EJ25 ("Tardis")

Just wanted to say thanks to the entire community for their advice & support as we explored getting a van... and then wound up with this van. We're loving it and have already used it for a few overnights, just as we had hoped.
We got it back to San Francisco without a hitch, and then I spent last week making up for all the time spent exploring/obsessing/researching vans during the lead up.
The van (tentatively named Tubby), is already in the shop getting the big brake kit put on her, along with a bunch of smaller repairs that needed to be done.
Anyway: we've made lots of new friends through the van and have had it for only a week. Good times ahead for sure. |
