Yup, had the same complaint with them on my T-34 as well. Rear window was the same way, and I really didn't care for the excess lip hanging off/on the rear quarter panel.
Note; These are the same seals ISP West sells, as they are THE importer of Simon's seals.

Indeed it runs and drives, still tuning to do on the ecu but so far runs ok on a stock standard Golf GTI ecu which is pretty encouraging.
Have a bunch of things I'm not happy with but will remove those parts and rectify those.
One of them is the windshield seals, the trim does not sit in the middle of the Simon Kelley seals but so far have not found a better solution.

Hi John, how is the progress on your resto, have seen any posts for a while.
I have started restoring my T34, unfortunately mine was in an bad accident previously with shoddy repairs and it affected the structural integrity and door openings amongst other things.
I have a 5mm difference between one side to the other. Do you have any measuremnts for your door openings, from the front door pillar to the striker?
I don't know which side is correct because both sides of the car were hit.

I was getting worried you'd forgotten the project there for a while with all your other goings on 
Hoped to grab a chat yesterday but you left before I caught up with you.
Love the shiny new bumpers, fingers crossed they fit better than the Type 14 ones Kiwighia and I have.
