Been wiring my fuel lines of the engine so i made a little bracket,
Looks a lot cleaner!
Its all in the details! _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Absolutely not!
I sanded / filled / sanded,... A lot the last couple weeks so i actually wanted to get something painted!
Engine bay was ready to paint, just scuff up the primer and add some seam sealer!
Then a couple coats of paint!
I am happy with the result, its not gonna be a showcar so its gonna be dusty/dirty in there anyway!
Good to see something finished, gets me motivated again! _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Is it bad that I like your daughter's work better than the samba trim _________________ my current challenge

It's a learning process..
I did replace the front cargo door lower outer skin at some point but it had taken too much heat from welding.
Could fix it with a bunch of filler but that's not the way i wanted it!
So 2 steps forward, 1 step back!
Rear corners, engine lid, apron, rear hatch, right rear side and 2 cargo doors are done now.. left long side, 2 front doors and front nose to be done.. hope to get it in paint this winter.. _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

No real exciting updates..
Bodywork stage has began!
Also painted my engine lid in Titan red but got a lot of orange peel!!
Don't know what caused the problem.. temperature? Spray gun settings? _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Thanks!
Did you insert a metal rod into the covers to put over the sharp clips? _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

After a long time waiting (16weeks) my TMI seat covers finaly arrived!!
Super stoked with the mesh platinum color
Now i need to order the WW coconut/horsehair seat pads and then the seats are finished!
Do i need to 'hog ring' the pads onto my seat frame or not? Because WW pads already folds around the seat frame?

Cargo area painted in final primer, i want the inside and outside in a dark primer so the Beige grey/Titan red color is a little bit darker.
couldn't resist so prepped and painted the dash undertray and air vent cover in beige grey
