after work i was out in the Westy, maked tea and listened to some tunes. i went to shut the gas valve and noticed the driver's door at the top is not flush with the body.

at the waist line, the door is nearly flush

but up at the top, a very noticeable (now that i'm looking at it) difference.

why is this like that and can i fix it? maybe the door is all catawampus and needs the hinges adjusted?

the seal in the door at the top is pancaked and has worn a hole in it. before i drop the dosh on a replacement, i'd like to sort it so it doesn't chomp another seal.

take a long 2x4, put it in the window with the door open, open the vent glass, and standing on a ladder tweak the top of the frame inward. doesn't take much to make a difference.

Why not try adjusting the hinges? They are adjustable...

I borrowed something like this and fixed mine. The friend I got it from told me I was borrowing the tool to fix having kids swinging on my door in 1998, which I thought was pretty funny.

If the lower door sits good with the body lines, the 2x really does work!

Fixes sagging doors too from old people using the door as an entry/exit crutch.

If the door has never been off then I agree it is tweaked and needs to be untweaked. Otherwise it is easy to loosen the top two bolts on the hinge and reset the door. Really not hard to do.
