These pictures outside just show how fantastic it looks!

For the carpet/mats: hard to tell based on pictures but use what you like, interior is what you see everytime you drive!

The Ghia is looking good Obus, you must be pleased Cool

Regarding the mats, a brown/beige set would go better with the seats.
I had these mats that came out of a ferrite brown cabrio.

Def. Thanks for the photos!

Not sure if Luiz offered those and if he did it went right over my head. May wind up just carpeting up the interior and selling off the mats.

Thanks! Appreciate that. Was lucky to find people out here to work on it and get it that way so far. At the rate you are working on low lights im sure you will have one sooner than later and it will wind up being spectacular!

Ordered Lt grey square weave carpet, black canvas roof and lt grey tweed headliner today from Sewfine. I wanted to go the Newton route but i couldnt grasp the lack of color choices they had. Ordered new wood bows as well. Have some sunvisors i just got and also some rear axle boots. Will need a ton more before its all done but hoping the carpet is ready as promised in 4-6 weeks.

should the convertible top boot whether black canvas or black vinyl have round white piping? I ordered one from a business and just realized it is square and black

been quiet for me this winter. evidently, roof, roof bows, headliner and carpet have arrived at the shop. now i just have to get the word to get it up there.

front bumpers i noticed are too close to the front fenders but was told due to the body work he may not be able to get them any further away so if anyone has any ideas i am all ears

also i ordered and received a canvas boot cover from KGPR. I didnt realize it didnt come with white piping along the edges so if anyone can post a pic or guide me to a pic i may have a shop try to duplicate it

If you're referring to the ends of the front bumper, yes they go quiet close to the fenders. Both of mine are the same way. I measured just 3/16 inch. The white piping is usually available at an extra cost. Maybe you can exchange it?

These are really really close! KGPR didnt offer a white piping and i just assumed as i have only ever seen them that way with white piping that it would be on there. i have been sitting on it for 2 years now so ill have to eat it and get it custom added on. Its a shame because it wasnt cheap.

obus, I just went into the garage where my '64 Ghia Cabrio is parked. I measured the gap between body and the rear upper end of the front bumper blade (German parts), and it's also 3/16" on the left and right sides when looking down from above. I did not think it was that close until measuring the actual gap.

When I bought the Ghia in late 1983, it had the original canvas top boot- black with smooth round-profile ivory piping. It had several tears in it, and in the '90's I found a later original boot in better condition which I've used since then.

Thanks Marcdeb and Rome! Rome is the round white piping on the edge of the entire boot?

That light grey is going to compliment the paprika so nicely. Great color combo!

I also don't know why Newton doesn't have more square weave color options, when they have a bunch of loop color options. I ended up going with Newton mainly because I bought it during covid when the GBP tanked in relation to the USD, and it was just too stupid cheap to pass up Laughing

Wow! good for you! Thanks for the compliment! I was too gun shy during covid and i dont think i bought much and i was so undecided about what color i was going to do the carpet. still have to see how it will look next to the seats and door panels. I think it will go better with the black canvas roof too
