I said "Thats not a muscle. Thats my shoulder bone. I have no more muscles"

Yikes! I guess that they recruit young med, pharma, or physio students to administer the Covid and Flu shots there. We had a similar set up in 2023 but the pharmacists tend to do the shots now locally.

To the other extreme, I had a cortisone injection in the top of my right shoulder 2 weeks ago and had to wait ages to get into a specialist to have it done. The Dr used an ultrasound unit to show him where the needle was going so he didn't accidently puncture my lung as he was targeting the ligament just above the lung under my collarbone. It was pretty funky seeing my upper ribs move when I breathed, the needle moving, and the tissue expanding with the liquid. He targeted a few different spots but was done in less than a minute.

Id avoid that shot. Did it twice during the Covid-19 early days, not again, got real sick each time from the shot.
Later we hear of bad long term side effects.

I even avoid the flu shots.

Doctors love to try to get me to do it. No way.

Tetanus, I do get that one, and the shingles shot. But the Covid-19, and flu shots, that is a no for me.


I guess someone edited my post, didnt like the word china in it in regards to the virus, and replaced it with Covid 19 Oh well, funny how the term German measles is not censored.

I certainly respect any one's personal decision regarding vaccines.....But if I got covid I would likely die. Same with the flu.

I can tell you that this vaccine, unlike all the others, laid me our pretty bad. But happy wife, happy life

one of the primary symptoms of covid is loss of sense of taste. (course there’s also long-term covid and death.)

i love beer too much to risk losing my sense of taste.

A number of years back when I was still in the Air Force, I had to get blood drawn at the Base Hospital. An elderly lady was helping the lab and was the one tried it. She put the needle in and pulled back a little then told a tech she couldn't get any blood. The young tech told her "You need to put it IN his arm"!

Unless you have studied immunology, putting the same weight on the 1/9999 divergent opinion is just being the biggest loser in the Darwin Casino. That’s your right. But , vaccination is not an “ individual choice of risk”. No one should be forced to take a vaccination but don’t expect the same access to society if you choose not to have it. The rest of us depend on herd immunity to protect us, not just our shot.

Indeed, under its relief system for injury to health with vaccination, the government has provided payouts for as many as 8432 injuries including 903 deaths after COVID-19 vaccination as of November 18, 2024 (5), numbers that are still increasing and already greatly exceed the numbers of injuries and deaths for which payments were made after all other vaccinations in the last 47 years.

Note this is for Japan.

You see there is “divergent” data both for and against getting the shot.
