This is awesome Chris!
Damn if you guys are in the wheel market now, please consider reproducing the early BBS Mahle, in 16" they fetch stupid prices and the Mercedes crowd will also be interested!

Hooray on all counts!
The best looking Vanagon wheel (Rhein) now available in 16" and presumably large enough to fit over most big brakes?!?!?!

Thanks!
We will be doing a whole line of wheels. I can't promise we will reproduce these, but I will look into it for sure. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

Not to de rail a thread, but at SF this year GW had a sample of their new 15” and 16” Carat style wheel. Taylor was unsure of their delivery date but I know they are hot on making an upgraded Carat wheel.

Will the Rhein 2.0 be available in 15" or is the focus solely on 16" for big brake clearance reasons? |

That is good news on the wheel front.
What would be great is a 16 x 6 wheel, so Syncro guys could buy 5 for a matched set.
That's to include a matched spare that has a reasonable chance of fitting in the stock spare location up front and that can be part of the rotation to keep even wear.
BFG says their K02 tires work with 6" width assuming 235 and under.

16" for the first run, but the plan is to also do them in 15" in the near future.

Thank you for the feedback. The plan is to introduce a few different styles of wheel in the near future. Doing a 16x6 wheel is definitely something to consider for sure. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

How much do the new 16" Rhein weigh?
I have a set of the first run FAS 15" Rhein, very beautiful wheel, well made, but kinda heavy compared to the forged wheels like the CLKs. _________________ Currently:
