Gene Berg Fuel pump

I bought a 69 Beetle full of Gene Berg upgrades. For some reason the engine starts, but gets no gas to the carburetor. The only thing I can think of is the fuel pump or filter. The problem is. I can't find either one. I have only had the car for a couple of months and I have only changed the oil. Any help would be appreciated.

Might not be the pump, Might be a clogged line running from the tank to the pump. Or even a clogged filter-sock in the bottom of the tank.

Do some diagnostics.

Berg never made fuel pumps, but i'm sure they sold them.
