This divider is held in place with five machine bolts with large flat washers, not included. They have 10 mm heads. I think it is M6. They have the same threads the M6 bolts used around your VW have, same as the engine tin screw threads.
Install cab roof panels before installing the cab divider.
To install the cab divider , find the five captive nuts/ threaded holes in the bulkhead. You might want to chase the threads of the captive nuts first, so the bolts thread in by hand. You may need to straighten/ open the channel on the walls and roof, if it was squashed narrower at some point in the last 60-ish years. Have the bolts, wide washers, and a 10 mm socket on a short ratchet handy.
The smooth side of divider faces the front of the bus, textured side to the cargo area.
Hold the divider up to the bulkhead from the cargo area side, a couple inches below where it bolts in. Slide the divider up and into the channels on the sides and the roof. Fit a bolt at each side so it does not slip down. Then you should be able to let go.
Fit the rest of the bolts, then snug to ~ 7.5 ft lbs.
