'71-2 AT 411 Vacuum Advance Cans Price: $25-$45

I generally only work on Type 3s and Type 3 parts, but occasionally I come across parts from other Types that have been mistakenly installed on Type 3s. When I replace these with the correct parts, I end up with parts I'll never need, like these.
These are the correct OG Bosch vacuum cans for '71-2 VW AT Type 4s.
Bosch: 1 234 121 407 (07 042) [407 stamped on operating arm]
I have 3 of these. The first one looks close to new, while the second one is very nice, and the third one has a bit more patina. All are perfectly functional
These are used cans, so I'm asking $45 for the first one, $35 for the second one, and $25 for the one with more patina. plus $15 Priority Mail shipping. Each of these is equally functional; each is likely to work perfectly for many years.
I doubt if this part is still available from Bosch or VW.
The inlet pipe on the $25 one had come loose and was leaking; it has been expertly soldered to repair it. It is leak tight and better than new now.
BTW, if you've got a D-jetronic Type 4, I do a LOT of D-jet work on Type 3s. I can rebuild your distributor and reset your FI trigger points. I made a gauge to do this, and no one else has that gauge or can set those points correctly. Worn rubbing blocks on those points will eventually lead to a "miss" that you will not be able to pin down. My complete distributor rebuild includes resetting those trigger points, plus complete disassembly and cleaning of everything else. The price for a complete distributor rebuild is $65 plus the cost of any major parts that are needed. If you just want to send me your trigger points, I can reset those for $5. Shipping is extra.
