I’ve been looking for 14” tire options. I found this load range C 27” General Tire. Has anyone tried these?

I can't answer for that particular tire, but a couple of Bay camper owners run Grabbers and do not complain about road noise, but like the better off-road grip that tread style yields. _________________ Current Fleet:

What are your recommendations for a 14” off road tire? |

Those Grabbers are the most popular14' A/T tire used on the split buses. 27X8.5X14. They fit nicely, with stock suspension. Ride nice. Quiet is a relative term in a split bus. You likely won't notice the noise over the engine and RGB's plus wind, etc. I've got them on my camper bus and probably have 20k miles on them with no complaints.
For me running them at 32PSI the back end starts to feel a little lose so I run mine at 27 or 28. Again probably doesn't help my MPG's but I'm running a heavy camper that isn't breaking records to begin with so I don't mind.
They certainly look the part. You can flip them and ride with the white letters facing in, thats my preference. |

Perfect, thank you for confirming that they will work. I’ve looked for a load range C tire and that’s the best I could find from a quality company. Now I just need to find some 14 inch wheels ha ha I have bug wheels on there now and that’s not going to fly. |

I have the AT Grabers on the back of my '59 bus and my '64 single cab, normal street tires on the front. 30 K miles on the bus in 7 years including off road at Big Bend Park and in New Mexico. They have worked well, including on the street. Also, more than half a ton of garden soil in the SC a few times, and no problems. _________________ '64 single cab Big Bend Bus Bash 2015 '16
