It needs the hubcaps for a little bling! _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I'm definitely digging those tires!!!
I hear Mike F. on the hubcaps, but I say don't limit yourself--there are also options for a chrome cap for the center hole only (Marathon wheel caps will work in a stock wheel like that--based on my own first-hand experiments, for example), and you can also buy chromed plastic caps for the lug bolt heads to give them a little extra bling as well--while not losing any of the built-in safety of OEM parts.
Exciting updates--glad I am finally able to view! Keep up the great work! _________________ Stock Steve

If I go with no hubcaps I'll probably get some cheap chrome center caps, and some chrome lug covers. I'm really on the fence on this one though, lol. I'll wait till the car is together before I really decide I guess _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

I picked up all my paint supplies today. I decided to go with L90D Pastel white, instead of the stock L90C Toga white. I just thought toga was a little too dingy. Going with a simple single stage urethane.
I've still got some dings to fill and sand before I can spray, but I'm getting close.

Made some great progress over the weekend!
I was able to get a little paint on a few miscellaneous bits on saturday.
There were some runs, and some missed spots. I'm going to have to re-paint a couple things. I'm going to wait until the rest of the car is ready for paint before that happens.
Installed my body-to-pan gasket (held in place with a little butyl tape)
I'll let these pictures speak for themselves...
Body back on! Wooo!
Had some slight trouble with the bottom of the heater channels hitting on the seat rails. A quick slice with the cutoff disk took care of that.
Now I'm trying to get the body all bolted back on. I should have chased the threads beforehand, it's turning out to be a little troublesome. Luckily the holes in the floor pans and the heater channels line up pretty well! _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

I bolted up my front fenders the other day so could work on them more easily. I snapped a quick pic, it really shows how radical it's going to look
It's been raining the past few days, so I've been doing stuff like fitting the rubbers into my pop out windows. _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

Busy day today. i was able to get the panel out of the garage and my car in!
I got some paint on my jambs, and engine compartment. Now I can get my fenders and junk bolted on before painting the rest of the car. I'm pumped to get this thing painted _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

^ here 's what the rims my dad had laying in the attic of the garage look like. They were for my moms scion, but never mounted tires to them. They're 17x7" with a 4x100 bolt pattern.
I'd love to get them on the bug, but that's not at the top of the list right now.

What are the specs on those wheels (offset, center bore, etc.)? I want to put some on my '72 Super, and need to find some measurements that work well (yours are awesome btw!) Although i do really like the way the ride now sits as a Class 11! |

Not sure of the specs on the wheels. They're Konig "Holes". I'm sure you can find some specs on them somewhere online. _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

Got her painted on friday (all but the doors), then left for a moped rally right after
After the rally I hit up transporterfest in Brookline, MA on Sunday. It was a good time, and I got some great parts. Mostly chrome to replace the handles and stuff I had powder coated. Sunday night and today I've been assembling, and enjoying every minute of it.
I'm very happy how the paint came out. There are a few runs and imperfections, but they're MINE, not some previous owners, lol.
I got my pop out windows in and my tail lights installed a few hours after taking those pictures. _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |

got some more work done on the bug
6" over stock
I decided to go with original style window rubbers with chome trim. They're a little bit more work, but not as much of a pain in the ass as people make them out to be... you just have to have some patience.
Got the windshield in last night, but haven't snapped a picture of it yet. _________________ '69 Bug,'71 Bus,'61 Bug ,'56 Bug, '66 Panel |
