Nice work! I'm wondering how you figured that out? |
A Google image search turned up the ebay hit where they said it was from the movie Once a Thief, obviously wrong due to the filming date versus age of the car, but it pointed out the actor's name as Alain Delon. Pulling up a page on Mr Delon, it appeared to me that he did look like the actor wearing all black in the posted picture, so I went to his listed films and searched through the ones in English starting in '71 due to the American style appearance of the license plate on the '71/'72 Super convertible. From there it didn't take long to hit upon Scorpio and another picture (in colour) from the same scene. Took maybe ten minutes once I used the actor's name as a lead. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

I was amazed at the complete lack of any pickup trucks, at all, in a lumber yard parking lot.
EDIT: I see one under the "M" in lumber. _________________ You can't spell sausage without "USA"! |

And a Studebaker no less, although in those days you just asked the guy behind the counter to "deliver it" and it was there later the same day for no extra charge. The truck action is all around back out of sight. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Maybe they don't need trucks with the size of the trunks in those land yachts. I did see several station wagons as well. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Trucks were for working farmers and ranchers back in those days
Not the general population like nowadays _________________ Rick
