Hey Xavi- No problem thought I would ask- from a function point of view the bay sink unit is probably a better choice. Great looking bus - camping season is coming so hope it gets to see some miles on the road

I got that fridge with the idea of chopping to look like a SO42 one... Then changed my opinion...

yes camping season is here, in May I have 2 campouts planned!

Thanks for the reply Xavi on the engine specs- your bus looks great! Are you in the market for a So42 icebox? (no I don't have a spare- just asking Smile

not really...

the bay fridge/sink is very handy as it has more storage (in the sink as I don't use as a sink, and in the bigger upper drawer)...

Hi Xavi

What sort of engine/tranny combo are you running in your bus that allows you to haul your family + pull that trailer? Looks like you bus no longer has the RGBs based on its stance

Hi velvetgreen, yes straight axle and a modest 1600 SP with a Zenith 32NDIx carb on it. I am building a 1776 with some nice work in the heads and a mild cam to pull the trailer better. It is true that when we pull the little trailer, it is a litte tough...

BTW some pics of the bus... Very Happy

How did u get the rivet flush. Mine still has a nipple sticking out.

Nothing special, that was how they turned with my hand riveting tool. Some rivets ended with a little nipple coming out, though.

i can fabricate the belly pans in 1 mm sheet metal, with X pressing for added strength but i would make them removable. i think i will weld some nuts on the frame and use 6mm stainless bolts for easy mount/dismount.

now to find a dormobile top... Confused

I have a 1960 euro kombi that will get the camper treatment and i'm considering options.

Thanks

Only if you don't want it to flex and start cracking apart at the seams. Confused

I "belly panned" mine within 2 months of installing the top! You can really feel the difference between a bus with pans and one without! Cool
