I know there is alot said on the topic and after reading some and for some reason putting off buying a manual, until now.
What is the best manual, book, whatever form to help me put together my 68 coupe.
Fine details like how the bottom edge of the nose is fastened to the inner sheetmetal.
Everything really.
Is there one book that is the definitive must have for this?
Thank you for any and all input.
This one question was asked in hopes of sparing you all a ton of dumb ones, I hope _________________ I look at all the A holes in the room, and realize, I'm not alone! |

You need several books and they still won't cover it all. The Haynes guide and John Muir's How to keep your Volkswagen alive are a good place to start though. You should have both. |

If you are looking for how sheet metal fits together for the Ghia, the 1961-1965 Bentley manual (Volkswagen Workshop Manual) is the most detailed for the body. For mechanicals, the 66-69 Bentley manual is what you will need for your car.
On this site, check out the manuals page and scroll to the bottom. There are electronic versions of the body repair sections found in the Bentley books:
