The New and Improved Clutch Shaft Extends your clutch pedal 3/4" to the left for additional foot space.
This cutting-edge "Big Boy" clutch pedal shaft design is a permanent fix for the ORIGINAL clutch pedal shaft hook that commonly breaks off due to wear over time. The new brass bushing works like a bearing for smoother pedal operation. Installing the clutch cable on this improved design is a snap, just slide the cable on to the locating pin, place the flat washer on, tighten the nylock nut, and slip the pedal assembly back in the tunnel. It's that easy. It works with a STOCK CLUTCH CABLE which we HIGHLY recommend you replace. It can be purchased from any vintage VW dealer (cable is not included with this kit). The kit includes;
1. NEW upgraded and extended shaft
5. NEW machined aluminum barrel spacer (for extended pedal space).
2. NEW brass bushing, flat washer, and nylock nut
6. NEW machined clutch/brake stop bracket w/ 8mm attachment bolt
8. NEW Clutch Shaft Pedal Pin
Our welders are NASA certified and are currently fabricating components for the airline industry. As you can see, they do beautiful work. The clutch shafts have been centerless-ground to German specifications and then polished. We are pleased to only provide high quality parts entirely fabricated in the U.S. .
