Clamp the devise in a vise. Remove piston pin bush before straightening.  Place connecting rod over locking lever (b) on the pin (a). Place the C-washer (c) in position and tighten lever to such an extent as to still allow the connecting rod to have sufficient play in both directions. The support (d) is released. Then insert pin (e) in little end bore, pressing it with two fingers toward the pin (a) so there is no tilt between pin (a) and connecting rod big end bearing nor between little end bore and pin (e). Check connecting rod for twist and parallelism by means of the gauge (f). If corrections are necessary, fully tighten locking lever (b) and straighten connecting rod by means of the mandrel. When the new piston pin bush has been fitted, insert reamer in the bush and hole provided in the bottom plate of the device, the guide bush ensuring a correct centering of the bush. Tighten both locking lever (b) and support (d) and ream the bush.  After this operation, recheck connecting rod for parallelism and twist as outlined above, but this time with the piston pin instead of the pin (e). Correct, if necessary, with a mandrel inserted in the piston pin.
