Restored Pierburg Dome Top fuel pumps Price: 110.00
These high quality dome top fuel pumps in this ad are made in either Germany, Brazil or Mexico under license from Pierburg with their tooling. The parts interchange between them as well. They don't have the VW logo on the base which is why they are priced less than the VW logo pumps. These fuel pumps are identical in quality to the German Pierburg VW logo pumps.
Each fuel pump is fully disassembled and cleaned in an industrial parts cleaner. The parts are then inspected with any worn part replaced. All mating surfaces are milled flat on my milling machine. The valves are removed and resurfaced. New Effbe diaphragms are installed with all new gaskets. The external steel parts are stripped and then re-bright zinc plated.

These fuel pumps put out the correct fuel pump pressure of 3psi vs. the 5+ psi the cheap fuel pumps sold today. That excess fuel pressure from the inexpensive fuel pumps causes havoc on the carbs function. These fuel pumps also have securing rocker pins with C clips so they don't back out like some of the new fuel pumps sold today. There's also an removable internal filter screen in them.
These rebuilt/restored fuel pumps can last for decades vs. a couple of years on the $20-40 dollar fuel pumps made in China.
A two year warranty is provided for all rebuilt fuel pumps.
Price is $125.00 per fuel pump plus shipping. It includes two new mounting gaskets.
